Belfast's storied past is beautifully preserved in its architecture, streetscapes, cobbled streets and cultural landmarks, even the dilapidated buildings littered around the city, crying out for attention, have a story to tell, so why don't you tell it?
From the grandeur of Parliament Buildings in the east to the maritime history of the city and its shipyard, every quarter has a unique story waiting to be told, waiting to be captured on camera. Indeed, one story is that whilst most cities have four quarters because four quarters make a whole, Belfast is traditionally unique in that it has seven quarters: the Cathedral Quarter, the Titanic Quarter, the Gaeltacht Quarter, Smithfield Market and Library Quarter, the Linen Quarter, the Market Quarter and the University Quarter also known as the Queen's Quarter. (It couldn't happen anywhere but here!)
As you know, throughout the years Belfast has hosted many festivals and events both one off spectaculars to annual events, so if you have photos of these events, events showing Belfast shining in all its glory, why not share? Whether your images are of our maritime festivals or of events such as Belsonic or the City's Marathon, it's good to share!
